Musharraf calls for an end to Kashmir dispute

Perhaps it is naive to hope that something will come of this, but it still seems to me to be a positive sign. Musharraf has offered to give up ALL claim on Kashmir, in exchange for self-rule for Kashmir. India has already indicated its inclination towards accepting the agreement.

It would be good to see these two nuclear-armed rivals work together, rather than threaten to blow each other (and over a billion people) up.
