Boycott
Do any of you plan to boycott watching the Olympics this year? I know that I do.

The mission of the Center for Asian Democracy is to promote research and teaching about democracy and the prospects for democratization in Central, South, Southeast and East Asia. Through publications, conferences, workshops, visiting scholars programs, colloquia, and research projects in Asian countries, the Center creates a forum for studying political dynamics in this vital region.

I've never paid that much attention to the Olympics in the past; ironically, China's actions in Tibet have drawn more of my attention to the Olympics than ever before. These games will no doubt have a negative shadow cast over them. A boycott on my part would be somewhat pointless, since I probably wouldn't watch much of them anyway. However, I will certainly be even less inclined to watch the games in this context.
