Maoist Captured Majority in Nepal's Government
It appears that the Maoist have won the majority in Nepal's government and will have major influence in the writing of the new constitution. Of course, that's assuming the monarchy allows it.

This election comes as a suprise because many thought that the Maoists would place third in the elections. The ex-rebels ended their 10-year insurgency in 2006, but the US still considers them to be a terrorist organization. It will be interesting to see how this shapes the relationship between Nepal and the US.
