China: ‘No Hope’ for 181 Miners

This is a rather brief article about a mine flood that occurred wherein a 181 miners perished. The government is trying to deny liability by saying that the flood was a natural disaster and that the miners should have noticed the risks. I once watched a program where I think it was stated that China has the highest mortality rate amongst miners due to very lax safety standards and such, there are also I don't think any real unions which people can use to better their situation. China seems like a fascinating country in many aspects but also rather terrible in others, but I guess that doesn't make it to different from any other country really.
